Skill Upgradation and Export-oriented Programme to be Held for Fashion Designers

KOCHI: Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs (FIWE) Cochin Chapter and CoSpace for Art and Fashion Startups, Kochi, are jointly conducting an Enhanced Skill Upgradation program for fashion designers in Garment Design/Development specifically aimed at the export market under the auspices of Senior Experten Service, Germany.

The programme will be held at CoSpace For Art & Fashion Startups, Panampilly Nagar from July 13 to August 14. The programme will be supervised by fashion designer and trainer from Germany Gudrun Beerbohm, who will train designers to learn global fashion and quality.

This advanced programme is aimed help the trainees to improve their skills in stitching, increase the quality of the products and gain time and efficiency and also to equip them to create more advanced products as per market needs and thereby increase the sales of the products. This initiative is planned to explore the possibilities of utilising the young talents of fashion designers of Kerala and establish networking relationships between Indo European designers and manufacturing units. This will also helps to develop new styles and products for clothing apparel and accessories by creating original designs or by adapting fashions to suit export and local market conditions, trends and buyers; make them aware of the latest trends, especially in the European market; develop entrepreneurship among the participants to start their own with a focus on the export market.
